KitchenAid Classic Mixer Review

When I started looking for a mixer to take my baking to the next level, Kitchenaid was the only choice for me. This article is going to discuss the Kitchenaid Classic Mixer, why I think it's the best choice for a person needing a strong, reliable mixer and the benefits I believe make this mixer a good choice. When you are done reading this article, you should be able to make a more informed decision about Kitchenaid mixers and why they really are the best choice for your kitchen.

My Review

I chose the Kitchenaid Classic Mixer
for it's tilt-head design, so that I was able to easily get to both the bowl and the beater. Also, with the Classic Mixer rated for 8 cups of flour, I could make an unbelievable amount of cookies (6 dozen) at one time or even up to 6 pounds of mashed potatoes. (Thank goodness I haven't had to peel that many potatoes yet!)

The mixer runs at 10 different speeds, so I had even control over my puddings, ganaches, frostings and bread doughs. The included attachments kept me from having to run to the store with each new recipe and buy something new, just to make the mixer work.

The Kitchenaid Classic Mixer comes equipped with:

  • Dough Hook
  • Flat Beater
  • Wire Whip

What Customers Are Saying

This is the mixer my mom always used. When I got married 23 years ago, I then got my own. Recently, I bought one for my daughter when she moved into her first, very own apartment. She knows how the mixer works because she used it when she lived with me and she was totally excited. What more can I say? It's the best mixer ever!

I know that this is not the most powerful of Kitchen Aid mixers but it is adequate for a new bride! I am sure she will appreciate the dependability as I did. When I finally moved on to a more powerful model, the250watt Classic was still operable after 10 years-So I passed it on to relative.

I never could afford a stand mixer and Christmas my twin brother gave me a gift card from Amazon and I purchased this mixer and it has been everything that I ever wanted in a mixer. Plus I got a good deal price wise from Amazon. Home delivery makes it even a better value.

My granddaughter is getting married so I gave her a mixer just like mine because it is so good. Thanks Amazon for delivering it to her home.

I read some of the negative reviews on this product before I bought it. I would say that a prospective buyer should do the same. I made my first loaf of bread with it (the cool rise in the manual) and found the machine hesitating during the kneading of the warmed dough. It did this a couple of times. I don't think it is a stretch to caution that if one is going to use this for heavy bread making, one will find themselves at odds with the manufacturer over the stated limitations. So buyer beware! For other uses it's great!
